Sánchez Romero Carvajal 5J ham is 100% free-range Iberian pork. The Dehesas of the southwestern Iberian Peninsula ensure the best acorn-based feed for a unique breed preserved since 1879. During the Montanera period, the main oleic acids from the acorns infiltrate the meat of this pure and singular species, native to our peninsula, transferring exquisite aromas and flavors to the ham, giving rise to a piece of unique quality, an authentic treasure of our heritage. In the mouth it has a taste of acorns, toasted hazelnuts, wet wood and wild flowers. In some cuts of the tip, the flavor acquires a sweeter and fattier note. The persistence in the mouth is very long. The fifth flavor, umami, is present and induces salivation.
